I recently received these pictures of my father that were taken while he was serving in the Navy on Okinawa. I had a lot of fun with the page. I used Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 collection for the papers and chipboard. The "chits" are from the time frame, U.S. military personnel used it as currency.

My pages usually use copies of pictures but in this case they are originals. They are better off surrounded by all acid free products than stuffed in the suitcase where they've been for 65 years.

The outside edges are all inked. The "graph" paper was inked generously on both side with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot. Then the edges were lightly sprayed with water and curled slightly.

I made the partial wing and propeller by using a silver iron on metallic sheet. The pieces were cut with a Cricut using George then I used black alcohol ink to cover the silver. I left the high points with very little color for the effect of the blades being raised in the middle. Mini Monograms with the circle option make up Circa.

One of the edges was border punched one using a new E.K. Success Slim Edger that looks like plaid and
